Satair, an Airbus Services company, and Etihad Engineering have announced plans to establish an agreement for an Integrated Material Services (IMS) supply chain solution. The agreement, expected to be signed in the second quarter of 2025, will cover consumable and expendable (C&E) parts required for Etihad Engineering’s maintenance operations.
Under the proposed agreement, Satair will provide a supply chain service for several thousand C&E parts from multiple manufacturers. These parts will be consolidated into a locally managed stock exclusive to Etihad Engineering, aimed at improving parts availability and streamlining procurement and logistics.
The agreement builds on the long-standing relationship between the two companies and expands the scope of their collaboration. It will cover a significantly larger number of parts compared to previous arrangements.
Paul Locab, Satair’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated, "This multi year partnership agreement represents a major commitment toward each other. Satair will be an integral part of Etihad Engineering's future success through reliable high performance and we feel both proud and honoured to be given this role."
Daniel Hoffmann, CEO of Etihad Engineering, said, “We're pleased to be working with Satair on this agreement towards guaranteed parts availability, lower stock inventory, and significant cost savings with no investment required for the contracted parts. With dedicated representation of Satair, we can offer our customers from around the world immediate access to parts covered in this agreement within our stores, further improving our comprehensive MRO support and overall turnaround times.”
The planned partnership is intended to enhance supply chain efficiency and ensure consistent access to necessary maintenance materials. It will also facilitate knowledge sharing and operational improvements through closer collaboration between the two companies.
