Turkish Technic, a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) company based in Istanbul, Turkiye, has initiated A330P2F conversions in partnership with Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), recognized as a center for Airbus Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) conversions.

As the first MRO company to collaborate directly with EFW for A330P2F conversions, Turkish Technic recently achieved an important milestone by completing the Upper Frame Shell (UFS) cut-out and successfully installing the new UFS. This milestone marks a crucial step toward installing the main deck cargo door. The first conversion, part of a series of P2F projects, is scheduled for completion by mid-2024.

“We are pleased to achieve a major milestone in our first conversion as we partner with EFW to meet the market’s high demand. Passenger-to-freighter conversions demand a blend of industry-leading expertise, structural skills, and operational excellence,” stated Mikail Akbulut, CEO of Turkish Technic.

“Utilizing our extensive expertise and robust collaboration with partners and suppliers, we are fully prepared to deliver technical services and innovative solutions. We are committed to successfully completing the conversion and providing top-notch performance for our customers through our extensive structural and avionic modification capabilities,” he added.

Turkish Technic, part of the Turkish Airlines group, is offering comprehensive maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and reconfiguration services. With a highly skilled workforce of 10,500 staff across Istanbul Ataturk Airport, Sabiha Gokcen Airport, and Istanbul Airport facilities, the company supports aircraft operators and owners worldwide with component pooling, design, certification, and production services.
