: Feb 3, 2021 - : 6:35 pm

L&T MBDA Missile Systems is showcasing its missile portfolio at the ongoing airshow.

MBDA and its Indian joint venture – L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd – have already submitted their first bid with an offer of Sea Ceptor, the next generation of naval air defence system.  The offer is in RFP response to the Indian Navy’s Short-Range Surface to Air Missile (SRSAM) requirement.

Sea Ceptor is the most high-performance and modern air defence system in the market today and has been chosen by several navies, including the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Chile and Brazil, among others.

The JV is also offering the Exocet MM40 Block 3 missile to meet a Navy Medium Range Anti-Ship Missile (MRAShM) requirement.

The Exocet MM40 Block 3 features improved electronics and extended range, with the flexibility of launching from all maritime platforms; surface ships, submarines, fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and coastal batteries.

To meet Indian Navy requirements for arming its naval helicopters, MBDA is offering the Exocet AM 39 and Marte ER along with the new Sea Venom / ANL which provides unrivalled fire-and-forget or operator above the loop ability to engage multiple targets at short to medium ranges in open waters or even challenging littoral environments.

L&T MBDA Missile Systems Ltd is also proposing the ATGM 5 to meet Navy Special Forces (SF) Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) requirements. This 5th Generation ATGM is being offered as an Indian Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDDM) product under the Make in India programme. The ATGM5 offers a multipurpose warhead with selectable effects and is proven for use in the maritime environment from small special forces vessels.
