Airbus and Avincis have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly explore opportunities in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Their focus will be on electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft operations across Europe.
The agreement aims to define eVTOL operations in Europe and beyond, emphasising mission profiles and operational concepts. This collaboration represents a significant step toward creating an AAM ecosystem and builds upon the long standing relationship between Airbus and Avincis.

Avincis currently operates around 60 Airbus aircraft, supporting safe and reliable operations across Europe, Africa, and South America. The fully electric CityAirbus NextGen prototype, unveiled in March 2024, is undergoing testing in Germany before its inaugural flight later this year.
Avincis, an Aerial Emergency Services company, employs over 2,400 professionals and maintains bases in several countries, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Mozambique, and Chile.
