With over 50 years of experience in developing specialty military-grade air cushion vehicles, Textron Systems is an industry leader in designing and producing innovative military technology that provides crucial capabilities for success in today’s geopolitical climate. Textron Systems’ Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC) is the culmination of technological advancements designed to provide complex logistics capabilities in austere and contested environments worldwide. Our expertise in advanced air cushion vehicle design and production is unmatched, making our SSC the strongest choice to guarantee mission success in the most demanding operational environments.
With our longstanding relationship with the Japanese Self Defense Force (JMSDF), one of the key benefits of the SSC is its seamless integration with the JMSDF's existing fleet, including Textron Systems’ legacy predecessor to SSC, the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC). This integration ensures that the JMSDF can easily incorporate SSC into its existing operations. Our track record of successful integration with the JMSDF is a testament to Textron Systems’ expertise and reliability in this field.
Further advantages of partnering with Textron Systems are the company’s fully operational SSC production line and highly qualified and experienced Field Support Representative (FSR) staff. Our production line is capable of rapidly producing SSC craft, ensuring that the JMSDF receives these state-of-the-art craft in a timely manner. Additionally, our FSR staff is well-trained and equipped to provide support for all operator and maintainer training needs. The FSR staff is rapidly deployable at any time to support any need to ensure the JMSDF fleet maintains high mission readiness. This results in reduced repair costs and wait times for the JMSDF, making Textron Systems’ SSC the economical and practical choice in hovercraft.
Furthermore, Textron Systems is the only production line delivering SSCs for the highly advanced U.S. Navy fleet. Currently contracted to deliver 9 craft to the U.S. Navy, Textron Systems continues to innovate and streamline processes to ensure continued production line efficiency. We provide a well-balanced team ranging from engineers to welders and pilots, ensuring all aspects of craft design, production, and delivery are handled at the highest level of efficiency and detail. In addition, this offers continued advantages in joint operations to leverage the interoperability of the U.S. Navy and JMSDF fleets.
In conclusion, Textron Systems' SSC is a game-changing platform that will provide the required logistics capabilities for the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force in the Indo-Pacific region. With our advanced hovercraft technology, seamless integration capabilities, and strong support staff, we are the ideal choice to provide state-of-the-art equipment to Japan and other partner nations. The safety and security of the Indo Pacific region depends on the reliability of its naval assets, and Textron Systems is proud to be a trusted partner in this critical field.
