ECS Group’s subsidiary, AVS GSA, in partnership with Thai Vietjet and Lactasoy, has launched an initiative to assist flood-affected communities in Chiang Rai, northern Thailand. The region has recently experienced severe flooding, impacting over 8,000 families.
As part of the relief effort, AVS GSA teamed up with Lactasoy to provide 900 boxes of soybean milk, weighing 7.7 tons, to support those affected. The supplies were transported on Thai Vietjet flights VZ130 and VZ132, successfully delivered on 18 and 19 September 2024. AVS GSA, which serves as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Thai Vietjet, played a key role in coordinating the logistics of the operation, ensuring timely delivery of the aid.
In addition to the soybean milk, Thai Vietjet Air provided complimentary air transportation for a range of essential relief items, including food, water, and clothing, to flood-hit areas. This gesture of solidarity was aimed at alleviating the immediate needs of the displaced families and offering vital support to the communities in crisis.
ECS Group manages cargo operations for numerous airlines around the world. Its subsidiary, AVS GSA, is a prominent player in Southeast Asia, focusing on providing effective solutions for airlines’ cargo needs. By facilitating this relief initiative, ECS Group underscores its commitment to social responsibility and using its resources to make a positive impact during times of crisis.
Thai Vietjet, a subsidiary of the well-known Vietjet Aviation, operates as a key player in Thailand’s domestic and regional air travel market. Known for its affordable and reliable services, the airline took a proactive approach in this disaster by offering free transportation for relief supplies. This highlights the airline’s dedication to community welfare and its willingness to support recovery efforts in the country during times of need.
The partnership between AVS GSA, Thai Vietjet, and Lactasoy demonstrates a united effort to provide timely assistance to those affected by the floods, delivering essential goods and contributing to the overall relief operations in the region.
