Vietnam’s DiCom Corporation is eyeing more markets for its ICS2020 Voice communication Control System (VCCS) in the region and beyond.
“Last year we supplied VCCS for an international airport in Spain. The iCS2020 VCCS with five control working positions supplied and installed in the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower for their projects. In 2019 also the company partnered with Spain to supply a iCS2020 VCCS with 26 control working positions. It was supplied and was installed,” an official of DiCom said at the show. “We expect to get more orders this year, especially from the Middle East and Africa,” she added.
The ICS2020 is a VCCS based on IP technology, providing a variety of communication control functions optimised for Air Traffic Control Centre and Communication Command Centre. “The configuration is suitable for small to large scale command centres, the fixed and mobile applications. It is designed with strong security, innovative resilience and easy administration,” the official said.
VCCS controls and connects together various voice communication systems used for Air Traffic Management such as VHF Tx/RX, telephone, and other ATC communications. It also provides an internetworked chain & backbone for numerous interfaces acting as an exchange for all the interfaces put together. It works on various IT protocols customized for each set of facility.
“Based on standardized IP architecture, which fully complies with the latest international standards, EUROCAE ED-137B, our ICS2020 VCCS offers the best solution for mission-critical communication systems in Air Traffic Management, Public Safety and Defence in addition to providing flexible and cost-effective solutions that meet all requirements for scalability, availability, reliability, and safety,” the official claimed.
Applying standards for aviation and mission-critical communication systems, ICS2020 is designed according to distributed architecture with high levels of redundancy: module redundancy, equipment redundancy, and controller working position redundancy. “This ensures that the system operates continuously and steadily without any single point of failure. The VCCS can be implemented for a completely IP-based system, connecting all VoIP devices via Ethernet interfaces or a complex system composed of analog and VoIP devices connected via Media Gateways.”
