Barzan Holdings is a Strategic Partner and Gold Sponsor of the eighth edition of Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2024), which will take place from March 4-6 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
The event, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, is hosted and organised by the Qatar Armed Forces. The eighth edition of the biannual event is under the theme of “Igniting the Future of Maritime Security and Beyond.”
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Defence, in the presence of Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces. The agreement was signed by Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al-Ansari, Chairman of DIMDEX and Mohammed Al Marri, Deputy CEO of Barzan Holdings.
“The Qatar Armed Forces endeavor to develop their military industries and rely on local capabilities to secure many of their needs,” said Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al Nabit, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces. “This is part of Qatar National Vision that will contribute to enhancing our forces’ capabilities and maintaining their constant readiness to deal with various challenges. We will continue to collaborate with our local and international partners to achieve our strategic goals and elevate our capabilities to the highest levels.”
“We are pleased to welcome once again the Barzan Holdings Group as a Gold Sponsor and strategic partner of DIMDEX, confirming the interest of our national companies to contribute to the success of one of the most significant events held in Qatar,” said Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi S. Al-Ansari, Chairman of DIMDEX. “DIMDEX will be a valuable platform for Barzan Holdings and various national companies to showcase their capabilities to official delegations and visitors from around the world. We are confident that this collaboration will benefit both parties and contribute to enhancing the local firms’ position in the defence domain internationally.”
Barzan Holdings Group is the first company specialised in supporting the military capabilities of the Qatari Armed Forces and has provided sponsorship and support to DIMDEX since its launch in 2018. Barzan Holdings Group has strengthened its strategic partnerships with leading international defence companies and organisations to enhance the national defence system.
Commenting on Barzan Holdings’ involvement in DIMDEX 2024, Deputy CEO Mohammed Al Marri said: “Barzan Holdings is proud to once again participate in the exhibition as a Strategic Partner and Gold Sponsor.”
This year’s edition focusses on “Igniting the Future of Maritime Security and Beyond” underscores the event’s key contribution to the global conversation on the best means to ensure stability, Mr. Al Marri added. “Against the backdrop of the latest regional security development, this year’s Middle East Naval Commanders Conference, a key feature of the exhibition since 2008, holds great importance in terms of driving collaboration on strategic resilience.”
