More than 350 exhibitors from 26 countries have already confirmed their participation in the second edition of DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens, which will take place from May 9-11 at the Metropolitan Expo located at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos.”
A large number of international and domestic companies will present land, naval, aerospace, national and cyber security defence systems at the event. The Hellenic Ministry of National Defence has issued more than 55 official invitations to counterparts as well as to high-level military delegations.
The event is organised under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence (General Directorate of Defence Investments and Procurement), and the Ministry of Shipping and the Ministry of Citizen Protection. The event takes place in the backdrop of Greece implementing a new defence procurement programme. While contracts for frigates and fighter aircraft have been signed, negotiations are under way for a large number of other major programmes. DEFEA 2023 will provide a platform for the defence industry to interact with decision makers from Greece and allied countries. A number of high-level events such as round table discussions and VIP lectures are also be a part of the event that will be attended by force planners, government officials, and distinguished guests from EU members states , NATO nations and EU bodies.
