Our Bureau - : Mar 6, 2024 - : 4:29 am

Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is showcasing a cutting-edge Counter Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) network developed for the Qatar Emiri Air Force’s Air Defence arm at the ongoing DIMDEX.

The advanced C-UAS system is being extensively trialled and evaluated in Qatar. The stringent test and evaluation effort was part of the contract inked with the Qatar Armed Forces. Work is continuing on developing this C-UAS network with the right architecture to handle future needs.

An individual with knowledge of the programme also told GBP Daily News that early interest was now emerging for the C-UAS network from some Governments in SE Asia. RBAT had also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Emiri Air Force for an experimental anti-drone system at DIMDEX 2022.
