The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier airline, Saudia, ranked ninth among international airlines in On-Time Performance for the year 2023. The ranking issued by an independent flight monitoring website Cirium is based on on-time performance for six consecutive months.
Saudia’s appreciated on-time performance is driven by Saudi Aviation Strategy in line with the airline’s expansion goals. This strategy aims to bring around 330 million tourists to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by 2030.
The transformation program which includes the integration of digital systems across all sectors of the Saudia Group also plays an important role in improving the airline‘s operational efficiency. Furthermore, the strategic development of King Abdulaziz International Airport also contributed to making it an important global aviation hub.
In addition, this reflects the dedication of Saudia’s Flight Operations Center, which is the largest integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) in the Middle East, which has enabled the airline to achieve quite a high position in terms of flight punctuality.
Saudia has made significant investments in upgrading its aircraft and currently operates one of the newest aircraft fleets. This airline serves a global network covering 100 flight destinations on four continents, including 28 domestic airports in Saudi Arabia.
