Thai Airways has announced today (9 Jan.) that the airline will resume its direct flight route to Perth Airport (PER), Australia. The route will be served daily starting 27 March 2024 on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a 256-seat capacity.

The announcement marks the return of Thai Airways’ direct flight to Western Australia after four years. In March 2020, the airline had to suspend most of its routes due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The airline will also add a second daily service with its Bangkok-Sidney route using an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a 321-seat capacity.

After Australia, Thai Airways is also announcing its return to serve daily direct flights between Bangkok to Milan, Italy, and Bangkok to Oslo, Norway starting 1 July this year.

The flight Between Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP) will utilize a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a 298-seat capacity, while Bangkok to Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport (OSL) will use a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a 348-seat capacity.

With the reactivation of these flights, Thai Airways is now operating a total of 51 routes including direct daily flights to London, Frankfurt, and Melbourne.
