Thales is displaying a Bushmaster Multi Role 6 (MR6) protected vehicle at the ongoing show as it seeks to drum up more orders for the Bushmaster MR6, which was designed and manufactured by Thales Australia.
The Bushmaster’s battle-proven capability has repeatedly demonstrated the tremendous protection provided by the Bushmaster’s true “deep V-Hull” against land mines and IEDs, where it deflects blast energy away from the crew. The new Bushmaster MR6 has improved protection, mobility and capacity with more protection, space and has been designed for operations in a digitised battlefield.
‘The new Bushmaster also features wider driver, commander and rear doors for faster access. It can carry 10 troops and two crew over a distance of 800km on-road. Over 1150 Bushmaster vehicles have been delivered to users in eight countries, who have more than a dozen configurations operational in multiple roles. In what is good news for current Bushmaster operators most of the MR6 options can be easily retrofitted, while some baseline MR6 features can only be factory installed.
