يتم عرض طائرة كاليدوس بي-250 (Calidus B-250) الهجومية الخفيفة، وهي منتج محلي لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث تسعى الشركة إلى جذب اهتمام العملاء الإقليميين والدوليين.
"كاليدوس" هي شركة لتطوير وتصنيع التكنولوجيا، ومقرها في أبو ظبي ، تأسست في 2015. تلقت "كاليدوس" طلبات من الإمارات العربية المتحدة في عام 2019 لشراء 24 B-250s بقيمة 260 مليون دولار أمريكي.
تم الكشف عن الطائرة B-250 لأول مرة في معرض دبي للطيران 2017 ووصفها صناعها بأنها مثالية للدعم الجوي القريب (CAS) والاستخبارات والمراقبة والاستطلاع (ISR) ومكافحة التمرد (COIN) والدعم الجوي المستمر (PAS) ) والتدريب الأساسي والمتقدم.
وبحسب الشركة، فإن تكلفة تشغيل طائرة Calidus B-250 تقل عن 1200 دولار أمريكي لكل ساعة طيران.
يمكن أن تصل سرعة الإبحار إلى 350 KTAS ، ويبلغ مداه الأقصى 2400 ميل بحري وأقصى قدرة على التحمل تصل إلى 12 ساعة.
تم اختيار المحرك التوربيني PT6A-68 من شركة Pratt and Whitney لتزويد الطائرات الهجومية الخفيفة بالطاقة وهو مقترن بمروحة واحدة ذات أربع شفرات.
الطائرة هي طائرة هجوم خفيفة متفوقة وذات كفاءة عالية تم تصميمها خصيصًا لمناطق الحرب غير المتكافئة وتتكيف بسهولة مع أصعب التضاريس والظروف الجوية.
إنه يشتمل على هيكل فائق من ألياف الكربون يمكنه مواجهة أقسى التضاريس ويتسم بتقنية رائدة لتقديم أفضل تنوع في فئته وإمكانية النقل بتكاليف تشغيل منخفضة.
