The inaugural day of IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 saw the announcement of 13 deals worth AED 3.97 billion. The contracts were signed by Tawazun Council, the government entity responsible for acquisition, procurement, and contract management for the Ministry of Defense and security agencies.
As per Mahra Belal Al Dhaheri, Tawazun Council spokesperson, local contracts on the first day of IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 amounted to nine deals worth AED 3.825 billion. While the International Golden Group (IGG) was awarded a contract for the procurement of ammunition worth AED 685.8 million, Thales Emarat Technologies received a contract worth AED 110.5 million for purchase of spare parts and materials and to provide maintenance and technical support. EDGE received a deal for a data provisioning program and smart services valued at AED 399.4 million.
The contracts also include an agreement with Calidus Land Systems to procure a multi-role vehicle MTAV 4X4, worth AED 1.809 billion, a deal with Al Masaood to purchase spare parts and materials and provision of maintenance and technical assistance services valued at AED 20 million, and a contract with National Marine Dredging Company for the acquisition of unmanned platforms worth AED 299.2 million.
Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) won a contract to provide technical support, maintenance, repair, and spare parts services worth AED 53 million. Another agreement was reached with International Golden Group and MP3 for supply of pilot missions, aircraft rescue equipment and spare parts worth AED 309 million. Furthermore, Injazat Data Systems was awarded a AED 138.7 million contract to provide digital transformation services .
Tawazun Council spokesperson Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi said the total value of international contracts on the first day of IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 was AED 143.4 million. These include a AED 21 million contract with Finland’s Patria Land Systems to provide technical support, repair services, and spare parts for Patria vehicles. Additionally, a deal was signed with Germany’s Rheinmetall Electronics to offer technical support for maintenance, repair, spare parts supply, logistics services, and sustainment of the tactical engagement system; the contract is worth AED 71.8 million.
Switzerland’s Rheinmetall Air Defence was awarded an AED 18.6 million contract for repair, maintenance, and spare parts supply for air defence systems. Another agreement, this one worth AED 31.9 million, was signed with the U.S.-based Maxar Intelligence to provide satellite imagery leasing services.
