An undisclosd major defense and space company will purchase Quantum3D’s extensive 3D model library.
Quantum3D, a developer and manufacturer of real-time visual simulation systems, had initially provided a couple of 3D models free of charge for evaluation and testing purposes. After successful test and evaluation results, the customer chose the existing Quantum3D library over developing one themselves to save time and money.
The space and defense firm has already started using these 3D models to design, develop and manufacture the next generation of advanced defense and space products for their customers.
Quantum3D’s collection of real-time 3D Facets model library contains over one thousand digital models including aircraft, ground vehicles, ships, buildings, and other elements commonly used in creating virtual worlds for simulation-based training and other applications. The models are available in both a binary format optimized for use with Quantum3D’s MANTIS Image Generation Software, as well as in an OpenFlight source format, making them useable for customization and/or for use with any commercial visual system.
Quantum3D’s real-time 3D models provide ultimate flexibility and affordability. Each of Quantum3D’s 3D models is delivered with multiple levels of detail (LOD), realistic textures, damaged/destroyed states, articulated parts, and animations.
